Pastors’ Blog

Welcome to the Pastors Blog! We are so glad that God has led you to this page, as we believe that this page will help to serve you and your family as we take the time to address big theological questions, exposit the texts of Scripture, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ via this means of  communication. While we feel that articles, resources, podcasts, music, videos, etc are great tools used by God for His Kingdom, we would encourage you not to substitute the constant and regular communion with fellow believers in a local church.

The gospel is a message primarily purposed for the audible preaching thereof, and it is for this reason that we encourage you to join us for a Lord’s Day Service to hear the proclamation of the gospel from the pulpit each week. We are told in the book of Romans that the gospel is the power unto salvation (Rom. 1:16) and that God’s elect people are drawn unto Him (Jn. 6:44) by the preaching of His Word through those who are called, set apart, and equipped for this task of preaching (Rom. 10). Thus, we make it our ambition to preach the gospel (Rom. 15:20) and we feel that this page will be an accompaniment to gospel proclamation, not a replacement for it.

Grace and peace!

1 John 2:18-28

1 John 2:18-19 King James Version (KJV)

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

The Apostle John is loving toward the brethren as a minister and aged follower and he is straightforward in his resolve to teach and warn the Little Children. The believer would do well to not simply read the scripture but hear and seek application.

John instructs them we are in the last time or “eschatos” in the last hour! Eschatos is where we arrive with the word Eschatology which is the study of the end time. We see the signs of the times all around us as the Bible unfolds and God’s sovereignty brings us closer to the closing of time and the last days. The last days were began at the Resurrection of Christ and will be until His second coming and the judgement of all things.

There are many in the world today that call themselves “Christians” and use the name as a badge of honor and yet do not honor the one who gave his life so that we may have eternal life for His glory and not our own! They know the lingo, attend church, go to events, carry a Bible and may even know scripture but they have never received Jesus Christ as Saviour and in fact may reject him as such! They perform religious rites not out of a changed heart but by means of works and habit. There are also those that are “anti” against Christ and when it comes down to the rubber meeting the road they choose to serve the lust of flesh, eyes and pride of life instead of God! These are the ones that will leave church and go out from among us at the drop of a hat because they were offended but will choose to attend work, discuss politics or sports diligently no matter the cost or opinion of others! There will also be one coming as the Antichrist in the latter times who comes as an angel of light, sets himself up for worship and would deceive the very elect if it were possible.

We must not allow those that go out from among us to get us down, follow after false doctrines or cause us to give up on the lost! God commands us to go out into the hedges and highways and compel those outside of the family of God to come in! A fruit of being a “Christian” is having a love for others! I am thankful that God gives his children an Holy Ghost unction or “Charisma, anointing” to know the truth from a lie! We must continue to prayerfully share the love of the Gospel with others so that their eyes may be opened to the truth! The devil is a liar and always has been from the beginning!

Yes, John warns the Little Children that there are those that do not acknowledge God and even are against the belief of the Trinity of God! Plainly put, if one does not believe in the Trinity of God including the full Biblical account of the deity of Jesus Christ; they are an Antichrist and are not following the God of the Bible and are lost!

As fallen, separated and dead creatures there is a sin debt we cannot repay! The Triune God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to be crucified and rise again as our eternal life, advocate and propitiation by the drawing of the Holy Spirit that we may be awakened to receive him as our Lord and Saviour! A believer must (ABC); admit sinfulness to God, believe the finished work of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, confess and receive Christ as Lord and Saviour and trust and obey The Holy Spirit for God’s glory! Perfect Trinity of God!

When you are in union with God you will have a desire to be in communion with Him! Are you continuing to serve or have you discontinued?
